Another AHTS for Tidewater launched at Northern Shipyard

Continuing the construction of highly successful, long series of the in-house designed (by REMONTOWA Group's companies, with Naval Engineering & Design - NED, responsible for design documentation and Remontowa's Ship Design Office providing conceptual design) anchor handling tugs and supply vessels, Gdansk based Northern Shipyard (Stocznia Polnocna SA) launched the unit with the yard number B 844/17 on October 10, 2009.

The yard, belonging to REMONTOWA Group, is building the ship, named Netherland Tide, to the order of Remontowa SA for Tidewater Marine Inc. based in New Orleans, USA.
The NED 8167 L design offshore support vessel, 70.00 m long, 15.50 m wide and 6.60 m deep, will feature over 160 T bollard pull and service speed of 15 knots. This performance will be owing to two main engines with a total output of 10 120 kW. Fire fighting system installed onboard Netherland Tide AHTS has a capacity of 1200 cu m/h.
The ship has been designed and is being built according to the rules and under supervision of ABS.
