Versatile PSV vessels under construction for Ezra Holdings

Construction of two new platform supply vessels for Ezra group is underway at REMONTOWA Group, Gdansk, Poland.
The MMC 887 CP design vessels will be entirely constructed in Northern Shipyard in Gdansk to Remontowa's order for Ezra company with delivery dates set for first quarter and second quarter 2012 (with two further units in contract options). Stocznia Polnocna (Northern Shipyard) laid the keels of two multipurpose offshore support vessels (combining platform supply duties with ocean towage capabilities) it is building under a contract with Lewek Shipping Pte Ltd., a subsidiary of Ezra Holdings of Singapore, in December 2010, following first steel cutting in September 2010.

Measuring 87.90 m in length, 18.80 m wide and 8 m deep, the 5,200 dwt vessels have a deck area exceeding 900 sq.m and accommodations for 60 persons.
The vessels are equipped for carriage of dry bulks, general supplies and liquid mud, general cargo on the open deck as well as special products like methanol.
The vessels are designed as DP2 equipped, complying with Fi-Fi 1 and equipped for oil recovery and safety standby assignments. Why basically being the supply vessels, they are designed so that they can carry out towage and even anchor handling duties.

In the supply mode, the vessels operate on electric drive. However, the main engines can provide additional directly via shaft lines to the CP propellers when extra power is required.
The vessels are being built to the requirements for the ABS ENVIRO class notation and in accordance with the latest SPS code.
