Spirit of Vancouver Island converted to LNG

Spirit of Vancouver Island owned by BC Ferries, has been converted at Remontowa Shiprepair Yard SA. On 28 February 2019 the ferry departed from the yard following the completion of a mid-life upgrade (MLU).

The Spirit of Vancouver Island ferry entered Remontowa SA on October 15, 2018. She underwent modernization, upgrade and machinery conversion completed in February 2019. Then the ship began her voyage across the Atlantic, the Panama Canal and a passage along the west coast of North America to Richmond in Canada.

Ferry winter

Content.A record number of ferries has been noted at Remontowa Shiprepair Yard in Gdansk in the winter season 2018/2019. As of mid January 2019, more than 20 car-passenger or cargo
ferries have been hosted or planned to visit the yard since the end of November 2018 to mid March 2019.

OSV converted and upgraded Lotos Petrobaltic

At Remontowa Shiprepair Yard SA, at the end of July 2018 the
conversion and upgrade of the Sylur – the ship owned by Lotos Petrobaltic (purchased from the second-hand market and taken over by the Polish company in December 2016) was completed.

Grande Lagos with new scrubber

Grande Lagos arrived in October 2018 at the quay of Remontowa SA. In addition to the class survey, the main task was to modify the vessels’s exhaust system and scrubber installation. After four weeks, the carrier owned by Grimaldi Group left the yard. The ship has been equipped with Wärtsilä U-type scrubber.
